The Odisha Secondary Education Act, 1953, constitutes the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha. It regulates controls and develops Secondary Education in the State of Odisha. BSE, Odisha conducts the Odisha Senior Secondary Teachers Eligibility Test (OSSTET) for candidates seeking teaching jobs in the Govt. of Odisha. The Board of Secondary Education, Odisha (BSE Odisha) released a notification for the OSSTET Examination on their official website, www.bseodisha.ac.in.

OSSTET 2024 Application Form:
Odisha Secondary School Teacher Eligibility Test (OSSTET) 2024 for Paper 1 for Trained Graduate Teachers and Paper 2 for Physical Education Teachers in Govt. school of Odisha. This is a state-level teacher recruitment test. In 2023 the application was starts from 12th to 22nd December 2023.
Application Fees:
- For General/OBC/SEBC category candidates the application fees is 600/-
- For SC/ST category candidates the application fees is 400/-
Step to fill OSSTET Application form:
Step 1: Visit the official website of BSE, Odisha at http://www.bseodisha.ac.in
Step 2: Click on New Registration to create a new Login ID.
Step 3: After registering successfully, the candidate will receive their login ID and password via email.
Step 4: Fill out the OSSTET application form with the required details.
Step 5: Upload all the required documents in the prescribed format.
Step 6: Proceed to pay the application fees as per your category.
Step 7: Submit the OSSTET 2024 Application Form.
Step 8: Take the printout of the Application Form for future reference.
Eligibility Criteria for OSSTET 2024:
- The candidate should have passed Higher Secondary Examination from BSE Odisha. But the candidate from the CBSE/ICE board, then they must have studied and passed Odia as one of their subjects.
- The candidates should have passed their Bachelor’s Degree in the respective discipline with at least 50% from a recognized university.
- Candidates must hold a B.Ed. degree from a recognized university by NCTE in addition.
- Should be a permanent resident of Odisha.

Admit Card:
Therefore, BSE, Odisha release the admit cards for the OSSTET exam around 7 days before the date of conduct of the Examination. The admit card link for the OSSTET 2024 exam on its official website . Selection Process:
The candidates must qualify for the Odisha Secondary School Teachers Eligibility Test to be eligible for a post as secondary school teachers in Odisha. The BSE Odisha has reduced the minimum qualifying percentage for the OSSTET 2023 examination.
For general category students the qualifying percentage is 45%. And for SC/ST/SEBC/PH candidates is 35%. And after final selection process the students can posted as a teacher in Govt. of Odisha.
