OSSC Junior Stenographer Recruitment 2024

The Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) initiates the recruitment process for Junior Stenographers and Junior Grade Typists in various state departments. A total of 60 (2 for Typist) vacancies have been announced. This is a great opportunity for 12th-pass candidates in Odisha.

The application process is fully online. Between 13th November and 15th December, applicants can submit their online applications. The OSSC Steno Recruitment guidelines require applicants to meet the age, education, and typing speed requirements.

Educational Qualification:

Junior Stenographer: CHSE Odisha or an equivalent board should have passed the +2 (Arts, Science, or Commerce) examination by the Candidates. To have a stenography certificate with a minimum speed of 80 words per minute in both English and Odia is also required of them.

Junior Typist: Candidates must have completed the 10th standard or an equivalent qualification themselves. They should also have a typing or stenography certificate, with a typing speed of at least 40 words per minute

Age Limit:

For OSSC recruitment 2024, the age limit is as of 1st January 2024

Junior Stenographer: 21 to 38 years

Junior Typist: 18 to 38 years

Selection process:

The selection procedure based on three stages. I.e.:

  1. Preliminary Examination
  2. Main Written Examination
  3. Computer Skill Test
  4. Certificate Verification
