OSSC (Odisha Staff Selection Commission) has released the notification in their official website www.osssc.gov.in for OSSC LTR (Leave Training Teacher) post for government teaching post for secondary school in 2024.
The Odisha Staff Selection commission has announced 6,025 OSSC LTR Teacher vacancies for the Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) posts. The interested candidates applying for the position of Leave Training Reserve (LTR) Teacher for TGT Arts, TGT Science (PCM), TGT Science (CBZ), Hindi Teacher, Classical (Sanskrit) teacher, Telugu Teacher, Urdu Teacher and Physical Education Teacher.
LTR Teacher Recruitment 2024:
From 30 October to 29 November, applicants will submit their online applications. The application process, including online registration, will be available on the official OSSC website, www.ossc.gov.in.

LTR Teacher Post Vacancies 2024:
Under the category wise vacancy out of 6,025 posts, 3,315 are for UR, 678 for SEBC, 998 for SC and 1,354 for ST. The Odisha LTR Teacher Vacancy 2024 is announcing a total of 6,025 teaching positions across various subjects. These include 1,984 vacancies for TGT Arts, 1,020 for TGT Science (PCM), and 880 for TGT Science (CBZ).
Additionally, 711 posts are available for Hindi Teachers, 729 for Classical Sanskrit Teachers, 6 posts for Telugu Teachers, 14 posts for Urdu Teachers, and 681 posts for Physical Education Teachers. The qualified candidates can apply for these teaching posts in their respective fields, in their subject specialization.
LTR Educational Qualification:
An individual must hold a graduation or degree of any stream from a recognized University, with a minimum aggregate mark of 50%, to qualify for LTR 2024. And complete their bachelor in Education (B.Ed. /M.Ed.) from any NCTE recognized organization.
LTR Selection Procedure:
OSSC holds the selection process of LTR 2024 in three stages.
Stage 1: preliminary Exam
Stage 2: Main Exam
Stage 3: Certificate Verification.
Candidates who clear the preliminary examination will move on the next stage i.e. Main examination. After that the final stage is certificate verification. It confirms the candidate’s eligibility through the relevant document including their necessary criteria.
LTR Teacher Age Limit:
The LTR Teacher age limit for the posts in 2024 is between 21 to 38 years as of 1st January 2024. Means Candidates must be between the ages of 21 and 38 to be eligible for the teaching posts. The government grants age relaxations to candidates in the SC, ST, SEBC, Women, PwD, and Ex-Servicemen categories as per the established norms. “They can apply; however, they can do so even if they exceed the upper age limit.”
